Hello, my name is Kim Froke. I have worked in the Rutland School system for many years. Ten of those years were spent as a one on one aide for a student. I followed this student through the years and have been privileged to work with and learn from many different teachers. My role as a science teacher has been a challenging and rewarding experience. I feel very honored to be able to model what I have learned from the fabulous teachers here at Rutland.
My husband Tom and I live on his family farm. We have 3 children, Jennifer, Heather, and Rob, all have graduated from Rutland. We have five grandchildren. We have learned that being a grandparent is way-y-y better than a parent! Heather Arnold has Lily Ann and Logan Michael. Jennifer and Mike Bannwarth have Connor Thomas and Nathan James. Rob and Kendra have Aria Jean and 2 pups, Gizmo and Pheonix.
I graduated from SDSU with a BS degree in Horticulture in 1980. I began my studies intending to be a nurse but upon working as a nurse's Aide for one summer decided this wasn't the job for me. In the past I have worked as a Floral and Interior Landscape designer and did in home daycare after our son was born. We moved back home in 1995, thus began my relationship with the Rutland School.
I teach 7th Grade Life Science, 8th Grade Earth Science, 9th Grade Physical Science, 10th Grade Biology, and alternating years combined classes of 11th and 12th Anatomy and Chemistry.
I look forward to my coming years as a Science teacher for the students at Rutland. I'm very excited about learning myself and can't wait everyday to teach. Your children will be my students and I will do my best to provide them with a Science background that will help them to succeed in whatever they chose to do with their future.
